Logos Soar to New Heights

If you happen to be cloud watching and notice an uncanny resemblance to a Nike swoosh, it’s probably not your imagination, it’s a Flogo. Flogos combine a soapy foam-like substance with lighter-than-air gases to create a logo that flies among the clouds. Flogos can be made into all shapes and sizes and be seen flying and at different altitudes in many different settings. Want to send your brand soaring? Visit www.flogos.net for more information.

Meet Chalkbot

Meet Chalkbot, a busy robot you can find churning inspirational tweets and texts into the streets of the Tour De France. This year it’s not only a road filled with bikes, but also a canvas for street art created by the masses. Anyone can be a part of this effort to encourage and inspire no matter where they. All you have to do is send a text or tweet to Chalkbot, and wait for a response confirming the coordinates of your message location. This initiative was created by Nike and Lance Armstrong’s LIVESTRONG, a foundation devoted to fighting cancer. (Sigh) Seeing the streets filled with so many heartfelt messages brings a tear to my shell.

Splatter Platter

Sorry, I haven’t come out of my shell to post in a few weeks. I’ve been crazy busy! I’m back with a very interesting discovery, though. If you’ve ever wanted to design your own dishes, or do art therapy from your work computer, you should definitely check out http://www.jeemindesign.com/splatter/. Choose your plates, pick some colors from the paint palette, and you’re free start slinging your way to a masterpiece. It’s a great stress reliever, and a great way to get original table settings.

Now it’s easier than ever to be a loser

Lately I’ve been working on a health and wellness initiative for one of my clients. And as I was doing my research, I stumbled across this amazing site called www.healthydiningfinder.com. Basically, the deal is, you plug in your ZIP code and your preferred price range, and the site gives you a list of all the restaurants in your area that have healthy dining choices, along with descriptions of those menu items. All the menu choices shown are dietician approved, with full nutritionals. What a smart way to make eating right easy! I can’t wait to start using this. The old shell is fitting kinda snug lately.

Chicago or Bust!

It’s that time again. The NRA Show. Or what we agency veterans like to call “No Rest til After.” And as usual, this week’s a frenzy of taking care of all those last-minute details before heading up to Chi Town for 5 days of meeting, eating, and seeing the latest and greatest foods.

I’d like to be there, but the fact is, crustaceans don’t travel well. Not to mention, I’d hate to end up as an appetizer. But the rest of you lucky bipeds will want to be sure and check out our NOBLE Black Friday event. We thought calling it the Color “Party” this year would be in bad taste considering the current economic abyss; but don’t worry, it’ll still be a tasty mix of business ideas, great food, and titillating chitchat.

Andy Ford will be speaking about marketing strategies for survival. The caterer is whipping up some fantastic sushi and blackberry mojitos. And our leadership team will be rolling out all kinds of new inventions to help brands grow out of the recessionary mire. And when you’re tired of thinking about the economy, did I mention there are blackberry mojitos?
